The best alternative to steel reinforcement
The rebars are corrosion-resistant, unlike those made with traditional materials, which will eventually rust and crack the concrete.
Higher tensile strength
Many applications call for an alternative to steel reinforcement. The fiberglass composite rebars (or GFRP rebars) that CME Argentina has introduced to the market are the answer to this need.
The tensile strength of the fiberglass bars is one and a half times greater than that of steel bars at a quarter of the weight, while the modulus of elasticity is lower.
ACI 440, specific to these bars, can be used; that standard is based on the well-known ACI 318.
