The composite is light, dielectric and is cut and assembled with ordinary tools: less welding, less lifting and less downtime.
Profiles and gratings with flame-retardant properties. They can also be formulated with resins and additives that make them self-extinguishing.
Where it is used
Platforms and walkways in batteries, plants and wet process areas.
Marine ladders and handrails on tanks, docks and structures exposed to salt.
Anti-slip gratings and sheets where a wet floor or coastal wind needs a material that does not rust.
Why GFRP in oil and gas
Steel needs cutting, welding, painting and edge banding. GFRP goes in as a prefabricated span, with less equipment.
It does not deteriorate in salt air, seawater, alkalis or most plant fluids.
It does not conduct. Anti-slip surface. CME sizes the access for each site.
